Your initial visit will consist of a thorough overview of your medical history and specific health concerns, we will then get crystal clear on your health goals. With your consent, we will get started with the most appropriate treatment. There is great emphasis on treating every person from a holistic point of view, every treatment protocol is specifically tailored to you!
While pain is a relative experience, it’s rare to hear someone say that acupuncture felt painful. Most patients feel at ease and relaxed throughout the entire treatment. I use a gentle, yet effective approach with acupuncture. I also use high quality needles in my practice for a ‘pain-free’ experience.
Each person’s situation is different, so the frequency of your visits will depend on your individual case. Following your initial visit, we will develop a custom treatment plan and make recommendations for your care. To give you a general idea: for people who experience chronic symptoms and conditions, the suggested protocol could be 2 visits/ week for the first 1-4 weeks.
For more acute or recent health conditions, it is likely that fewer visits will be required. It is imperative to understand that sometimes overcoming health conditions can require patients, diligence, and a willingness to change your lifestyle.
You can begin treatment at any time. Of course, I recommend the sooner the better! Remember this: In the early stages, disease is difficult to detect but easy to treat. In the end, disease is easier to detect but harder to treat.

Yes. As of 2013, Acupuncture is a regulated health profession in Ontario and, as such, has new rules and obligations for practitioners to abide by regarding health and safety in the clinic. All the needles in my practice are single use needles which are safely disposed of in a Medical Sharps Bin. I am also fully insured and licensed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and certified in Clean Needle Technique.
